VERY RARE softcover book. "Japanese Scientific Terms: Botany" Compiled by the Ministry of Education, Japan. This is the First Edition, published by Dainippon Tosho Publishing Company, Inc., 1956. Small 8vo, 18.6 cm x 13.7 cm x 1 cm, Black soft leather-bound cover, Embossed Japanese lettering on spine and front & back cover, No dust-jacket. Japanese & English text. 155 pages. Weight: 179 Grams. CONTENTS ARE LIKE NEW!!! However, there is a crack forming after title page of Part 3. Spine is clean & sturdy, small ridge down middle, small bump at head, lettering partly worn away, binding tight! Cover is scuffed but mostly clean, few bumps & creases, edge wear. Corners are bumped. Outer edges tanned. Tiny tear & corner fold & ink annotation (name) on 1st end paper, small ink marks transfered over to pastedown. Some pages have light handling creases, and/or small linear indents. Paper sticker on last page. First & last few pages (including end papers) have slight ripple. Very light age tanning throughout. RARE ITEM, EXCELLENT OVERALL CONDITION!!!
