Smith's lllustrations of the Zoology of South Africa was issued in 28 parts between 1838 and 1849, This is a separate issue of the Invertebratae with the text by Macleay and has the 4 plates, as called for. Three main sections: 'On the Cetoniidae of South Africa', 'On the Brachyurous Decapod Crustacea brought from the Cape by Dr. Smith' and 'On a new species of Cerapterus'. Cloth slightly marked.
