By the Rev. Mr. Cooper [pseud.]. Printed for Samuel Shaw, bookbinder, Lansingburgh, by Charles R. & George Webster, Albany, [1805]. 12mo. 204 p. Contemporary sheep, spine with gilt fillets but otherwise undecorated. Corner torn from E2, with loss of text, both endpapers torn, some soiling and foxing, but a very tight copy. See M.J.P. Weedon, "Richard Johnson and the Successors to John Newbery," The Library (1949), pp. 25-63. Some copies of Shaw's edition, presumably those issued later, contain a leaf of additional subscribers' names, printed in a different type and tipped in following leaf Independence: A Checklist, 05-01.
