Grimm, M M, German Popular Stories Collected by M M Grimm. The 1904 exact facsimile of the 1823 (vol 1) and 1826 (vol 2) translations from the original German. A limited first edition set published by Henry Frowde in November 1904 limited to 250 copies of which this is number 127. A rare and important set of classic children's literature. In tan card boards with slight bumping and stains to spine and slight fraying to spine margins, otherwise a tight clean and smart set. Internally the uncut pages are clean with marginal spotting but pages and the 22 plates by George Cruikshank all clean and present. Vol 1 xii preliminaries, pp 240, vol 2 iv preliminaries, pp 257. Working to a budget, we might be able to source a First Edition 'Origin of Species' (a big budget) or the biography of a pioneer in farming, natural history or field sports (a more modest budget). Because we know about books and are well networked, we can make an individual present special and meaningful.

If a customer is not satisfiid, we will return anything they have paid wiif a case is made within 14 days of receipt.
