4to., title printed in red and black, unpaginated, 100 mounted collotype photographs with accompanying text ruled in red, previous owner's presentation inscription to blank front free endpaper, some occasional scattered foxing to margins (as usual) unaffecting images, decorated endpapers, all edges blocked in gilt. Bound in the original pictorial cream parchment with a large handsome pictorial gilt and black design to upper cover, spine and upper cover titled in gilt. The book contained in a purpose-made protective cloth wraparound and contained in a matching slipcase. A generally VG+ copy in a most handsome original binding.
