According to the website of the Buckinghamshire Gardens Trust, Fleischmann was Chairman of the National Gardens Scheme and, "at its peak," her own garden was "notable for its early collection of 'old fashioned' and species rose varieties . comparable with Vita Sackville West's collection at Sissinghurst, as well as other renowned collections." She is mentioned in a number of horticultural works, most notably in those of Graham Stuart Thomas.
