The Four Just Men, Edgar Wallace, The Tallis Press, 1905, First Edition First Impression The story of four wealthy gentlemen vigilantes ( including a European Prince ) who punish wrong-doers and are beyond the reach of the Law, Wallace had to form his own publishing company Tallis to publish the book and decided to manage a 'guess the murder method' competition in the Daily Mail with a sum of money as the prize. This is a First Edition, First Impression in very good condition. The binding is straight and tight, the boards are bright with some slight self wear to to the top and bottom edge of the spine. The toned end papers and pages are clean without marks, tears or inscriptions. There is some foxing to the very early pages. The £500 Solution Competition form is fully intact at the end of the book with the No. 8704 and the drawing of the Sectional view of 44 Downing Street on the night of the murder is also intact and attached at the front of the book. Rare particularly in this condition and all the attributes. Will be dispatched wrapped carefully in bubblewrap and a cardboard box. N° de ref. del artículo 01032
