Original sage green decorative cloth, front and spine panels stamped in white and gold. A nearly fine copy, with a handsome binding. #3362. $100. Hall, an American journalist and author, left behind three collections of short stories which contain tales of the fantastic. This is her main collection, the only one listed in Reginald. Two of the six stories here are definitely fantastic: the title story and "Garden Deadly", while "Powers of Darkness" is "a psychological study of a young woman who believes herself possessed of a devil ." -- The [American] Bookman, vol. 2, p. 43.a.
