Heavy octavo; red cloth boards with gilt details to spine. A little shelf-wear, otherwise bright and clean. 319pp, a little age toning/browning to prelims, very much less so to text, which is predominantly tight, bright and clean. No additional markings or inscriptions. Bottom leading corners of two front eps have a small brown stain , carried over from dustwrapper, which has a small white patch to verso. Profusely illustrated with many b/w photogravure plates on semi-gloss art paper. A little movement in spine. Text block edges clean. Dustwrapper price-clipped, a little age-browned, a few minor nicks and small closed tears, but predominantly bright , clean and complete. A copy which has clearly had some use, but is tidy and presentable.PLEASE SEE FIVE ACCOMPANYING IMAGES. Now protected and enhanced by removable, transparent sleeve.
