A true UK first edition / first printing, with '1952' on the title page. Pale blue boards, with unfaded gilt lettering. Jacket is not price-clipped, and the book has no inscriptions or ex-library marks. Some foxing to front and end papers and along the edge of the book block, which has a slight forward lean. Quite a bit of wear to the jacket (as is reflected by the price), with the front fold worn away along the edge. Now protected by a removable plastic wrapper.
