The green cloth boards predominantly neat and square, corners sharp; some slight age darkening at edges of boards, a small dint by top leading corner, a few very small spots. All gilt work bright and clean. Page block edges with some very small sporadic stains, a light scratch to top - overall appearance clean and tidy. Contents tight, bright and clean; no markings, inscriptions or labels. A few small brown stains and light handling wear at prelims page edges, a few minimal indeed later, and some slight creasing to top leading corners of plates 34-41. All plates are bright and clean. Dustwrapper bright and clean, Unclipped (35s), very mild indeed age toning and wear (VG+).PLEASE SEE FIVE ACCOMPANYING IMAGES. Any wear to this copy is entirely consistent with long and careful use by the former owner, who bought it new in 1965 and kept not only the book, but the original promotional paper ribbon which encircled it.
