Contemporary full brown leather with gold rule device around upper and lower covers. Page 115/6 lacking 1/4" x 1" piece from fore-edge affecting a few words of text, plate 44 close cropped losing 10% of the louse, part of one wing of the locust and the fore part of the ? scorpion, plate 42 close cropped losing a small part of the antenna of the Tchneumon, small ink blot affecting the top 1/4" of 45 pages, not affecting the text or the illustrations on the plates, a little browned, lacking a small amount of the leather at the head and foot of the backstrip otherwise good copy with an interesting Dublin bookseller's ticket on the front pastedown as follows ' H.
