The Colour Of Blood, Brian Moore, Jonathan Cape, 1987, Signed First Edition, First Impression Nominated for the Booker Prize and winner of the Sunday Express Book Of The Year in 1987, this story tells of Stephen Bem, a Cardinal in an unnamed East European country who is in conflict with the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy and finds himself caught in the middle of an escalating revolution. The title page has been signed by the author with a neat personal dedication. In fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in near fine condition with a minimal amount of nibbling to the top edge of the spine.
