The Text Block is clean, white, tight, straight and square, with top-edge gilt (bright), deckled fore-edges, and no markings of any kind other than erased pencil marks on front free endpaper. The Binding is full green cloth with bright gilt design (Bellerophon riding Pegasus) and poem titles to front board, dulled gilt title, etc., to spine which shows wear to head and heel, and all corners square. No Dust Jacket. See photos. 426 pages. 5 1/4" x 7 3/4". This is Volume One of two volumes published in America in 1913. This volume contains two of the author's most famous poems - The Highwayman and The Barrel-Organ - and his epic poem Drake, about Sir Francis Drake. The front board and spine list the following poems: The Flower of Old Japan, The Progress of Love, The Forest of Wild Thyme, Drake.
