Only 2 copies of the Charter and Bye-Laws exist in British Libraries, none recorded in International Libraries. Only 4 copies in three libraries of the Bye-Laws for the Garden of the Horticultural Society recorded. Containing a list of Bye-Laws in relation to the Horticultural Society, half leather over marbled boards, gilt titles with gilt floral decoration to a new spine attached to the original boards. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition new spine, gilt titles on red label, 5 raised gilt edged bands separating 6 compartments, 5 of which have a gilt floral design. Joints good condition sound, repaired. Corners poor condition gently bumped and worn. Boards good condition half brown leather over marbled boards with gilt lines separating. Page edges good condition top edge slightly darkened, all marbled. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition sound, repaired. Paste downs good condition marbled, armorial bookplate John Deacon to the front paste down. End papers good condition marbled, internal end papers lightly tanned with minor foxing. Title good condition both title pages are lightly tanned with some foxing. Pages good condition lightly tanned with foxing throughout. Binding good condition sound and complete.
