Browning, Bruce, Bullinger, Burke, Burns, Byron, Coleridge, Congreve, Dickens, Robert Dudley, Queen Elizabeth, Goldsmith, Archbishop Grindal, Lamb, Locke, Louis XIII, Robespierre, Richardson, Shelley, Sterne, Charles Edward Stuart, Simon Vouet, Edmund Waller; a fine series of letters of Bossuet to Mademoiselle de Luynes; some most important musical manuscripts & letters, comprising fine examples of Bach, Mendelssohn, Wagner, Moore, &c., an unpublished manuscript of Thackeray; a series of letters from Percy Earl of Northumberland to James I; a portion of the correspondence of Lord Chancellor Lyndhurst; five letters of Lord Nelson, and fine specimens of other British and French Admirals; and an important collection of letters and manuscripts written by and relating to Joanna Southcott."
