4 inches x 6 3/4 in., half-ftitle; title-page printed in red and black; dedication page to Frederick Locker; preface by Andrew Lang and note by Brander Matthews; contents. xx, 157 pp. Dark blue cloth with titling gilt on the spine and front cover, with publisher's device on the front cover, bevelled edges, deckled edge paper, top-edge gilt. Light wear to the spine ends, cover corners, tanning to endpapers, a few upper page corners show light creasing. With the seated cleric bookplate of Cleveland, Ohio based book collector, Munson Havens (1873-1942) on the front paste-down, and a small inscription by him, giving this book to his wife: Hetty from Munson July, 1. 1904. Authors include: Andrew Lang, Henry Vaughan, Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott, Charles Lamb, Austin Dobson, Edmund Gosse, R. L. Stevenson, Frederick Locker, H. W. Longfellow, J. G. Whittier, George Crabbe (The Library), John Ferriar (The Bibliomania), Bulwer Lytton; translations from Classical Latin authors, French & Spanish, and many now lesser known English & American poets who wrote book verse.
