First edition ex-library ("Wilson College, London") hardcover, bound in brown cloth, with gilt and black lettering and illustration and decoration on front cover, and gilt lettering and decor on spine, is in G condition, having a slight bend to volume (see photo); slightly bumped and worn corners; light surface and edge wear to covers; on first fixed endpaper therre is a pasted-on award notification: "Prize Awarded to Percy Arthur, Archer Gooch for Diligence & Perserverance during the year 1883. William H. Head, A.C.P., Principal", and on the first free endpaper is a dark blue stamp that reads: "Wilson College, A High School for Boys, 2, Alkham Rd., Cazenove Rd."; some shaking to volume, and very light handling wear; section of publisher's other books listed in back.
