Green cloth with black lettering and black, white and blue illustration toi fr. cover, similar image in miniature to sp., clean and edges unworn but serious pigment loss patches (from mould?) to back and top fr. outer corner tip, spine sun-faded. f/piece with tissue-guard + 227, 59 further plates ex-pagination (by my count), c. 34 text figs of various sizes inc. some full page, many in Chap.V on 'Model Aeroplanes' separately authored by E.W. Twining; 'Xmas 1912' gift inscription to fr. end-paper, outer halves of end-papers tanned due to off-setting from jacket, gutter after fr. end-paper closed by cream tape not altogether efficiently but effectively, otherwise internally clean, tight and unmarked. The extremely rare green dust-jacket reproducing cover ills. to fr. and sp. has several faults but is remarkably good for age, top sp. rather ragged with some loss and several chipped or nicked extremeties, these internally closed with archival tear repair tape, spine also has brown staining of some sort down much of central area, with add protective sleeve when ordered. 14,5 cm x 21 cm.
