Waterland, Graham Swift, Heinemann, 1983, Rare Signed First Edition, First Impression Winner of the Guardian Fiction Prize, shortlisted for the Booker Prize and adapted in 1992 into a film starring Jeremy Irons, this novel is set in the bleak Fen Country of East Anglia and spans 240 years in the lives of its haunted narrator and his ancestors. A First Edition, First Impression in near fine condition. The binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears or inscriptions. The title page has been signed by the author without personal dedication. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in near fine condition with slight foxing to the top edge of the rear return.
