FIRST AND LIMITED EDITION; #43 of 100 specially bound copies with a SIGNED ORIGINAL DRAWING OF AN ENGLISH FOXHOUND BY ALDIN as the frontispiece. Original publisher's japon vellum backed cream paper covered boards with titles stamped in gilt to front cover and spine for what is an absolutely pristine, as new copy of the book (having been covered in a home-made plain paper dust jacket since new). All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers with bookplate on front paste-down. 123 pp., plus [15] leaves of colored plates. A sporting tome, written and illustrated by Aldin, and a "how to" primer on fox-hunting. Chapter titles are: A Beginning, A Few Things To Remember, Woodland Hunting, "Lepping", Is It Jumpable?, "Tosses", Red-Letter Rules, A Hunting Vocabulary, A Good Hunt In A Good Country, On Foot, A Bad Day, The Hunting Visitor, What Should A. Do?, For The Whelps, and For The Old Hounds; internally the book is immaculate. The condition of the book is FINE. Only one copy of the limited edition book located on OCLC/WorldCat (University of South Carolina - University Libraries). EXCEEDINGLY RARE; especially so in such pristine condition.
