Stone on front endpaper, Stone was the founder of the Chicago Daily News and a manager at the Associated Press, his bookplate is on the front pastedown, b/w illustrations throughout including frontis, the author presents 14 stories with titles such as Martha Reid's Lovers, The Suicidal Tendencies of Mr. Ephrodtus Twilley and The Hotel Experience of Mr. Pink Fluker, yellow cloth boards feature designs to front and back and show bumping and scuffing to corners, spine with gilt darkened, scuffing to spine head and tail, front hinge cracked with gutter split down top half, a few pencil marks on front pastedown otherwise interior very clean, first few pages loose, title page detached, 414 pages followed by six pages of other books by publisher, 5 X 7 inches.
