This book Is dedicated to the Memory of the Officers, W.Os, Non-commissioned- officers, and Soldiers of the Regular, Militia, Special Reserve, Service, Volunteer and the Territorial Battalions of the South Staffordshire Regiment, who gave their lives for their country, in the Campaigns and Battles in which the Regiment has taken part. Morris Boscawen Savage (14 March 1879 ? 11 June 1958) was a British Army officer who later entered local government. The eldest son of Lieutenant-Colonel Harry B Savage of the Royal Marine Artillery, he entered the South Staffordshire Regiment in 1899, reaching the rank of lieutenant-colonel commanding 2nd Battalion in 1918. He served in the First World War on the Western Front and was severely wounded. In 1925 he retired from the army.
