First edition, prints "A Young Lady of Property," "John Turner Davis," "The Tears of My Sister," "The Death of the Old Man," "Expectant Relations," "The Midnight Caller," "The Dancers," and "The Trip to Bountiful." A presentation copy, inscribed by Foote: "For Martin Stone, with gratitude, Horton," on the front endpaper. Foote's lawyer and close friend Martin Stone, the producer of the Howdy Doody Show and the acclaimed radio show, "Author Meets the Critics." [Together with] Two autograph letters signed "Horton" to Martin Stone (1986). Two leaves, approximately 150 words.
