Book condition: very good, very scarce signed first edition, inscribed and signed on the ffep, written at age 80 the author recounts his boyhood and youth and the time he spent hunting and fishing, he was long associated with boxing and was known for his dogs, especially the Boston terriers, his talents also extended to the field of horticulture, dust jacket shows stain across author's name on front which extends to spine, .25" X 1" chips off right front top corner and right spine top, smaller chips off all other corners, backed with archival paper, mylar cover, frontis of author with dog, bright blue pebbled boards in excellent condition with brilliant gilt on front and spine, light soiling to page edges, at least 15 pages have light pencil marks in text and margins, otherwise very clean, binding tight, 201 pages, 5.25 X 7.5 inches.
