Very fine. Sealed. Mint condition without any flaws. Personally signed by Paul Simon. In this candid and sometimes controversial autobiography, the late former Senator Paul Simon shares his insights into the activities of President Clinton and other politicians as well as his views on international affairs. Michael Wright, The New York Times: Throughout much of his life, it seems, former Senator Paul Simon -- the son of a Lutheran minister, forced by his mother to take piano lessons -- has been surrounded by people and institutions that haven't quite measured up. At the same time, he's never been one to retreat overwhelmed (except, perhaps, for those dismal post-election days of 1994, when, as the Democrats tried to adjust to their new minority status, he announced he was not running for re-election in 1996). And as Simon has set about trying to right wrongs -- as a newspaperman, a state legislator, a member of Congress -- he's never been one to keep his admirable efforts off the front pages. About the Author Paul Martin Simon (November 29, 1928 December 9, 2003) was an American author and politician from Illinois. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1975 to 1985, and in the United States Senate from 1985 to 1997. A member of the Democratic Party, he unsuccessfully ran for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination. After his political career, he founded the Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in Carbondale, Illinois, which was later named for him. There he taught classes on politics, history and journalism. N° de ref. del artículo 80-149
