This is a nice old shipping ticket / handbill, a transport document ticket advertising that the ship ?The Maidstone? is ready for receiving goods at Topping?s Wharf, Southwark, in London for delivery to Rochester, Strood Hoy, and Chatham, and includes a list of towns that goods can then be further transported to for delivery. including Allhallow, Brompton, Cliff, Cooling, Cuxton, Finsbury, Cobham, Gillingham, Hoo, Higham, Rainham, Stoke, Shorn, Upnor, Wouldham, etc This document / receipt is signed and dated by the Wharfinger April 15th 1825, for the transport of one Hamper Measuring 7.25 inches by 4.25 inches approx., small spike hole in centre, else in good general condition A VERY NICE PIECE OF MARITIME HISTORY.
