32-pages of text (some torn and repaired with sellotape and 56 coloured maps, mostly double-page. The following 9 maps have tears mostly repaired to the reverse with sellotape: World; England (South), Scotland, Switzerland; Palestine, Persia, Southern India, North America, United States (Northern). Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Half bound in red leather over pebbled cloth boards, gilt titles to front and spine, all edges gilt. The leather and the boards are moderately scuffed and worn, but the binding is very sturdy, with original coated endpapers and reinforced hinges, in very good condition. Bookplate/crest of George Washington Baxter inside, otherwise unmarked. Colour frontis of The Flags of all Nations. All maps present and in very good condition, save for Scotland which is in two pieces (half the map is detached), with wear to edges, and Ireland, which has a 12cm split at the fold. Hardcover. Condición: Good. Large folio hardcover volume. Leather spine and green cloth boards are in quite nice condition but have split from the contents. With a little work this could be a nice solid volume. Contents are quite clean with no foxing or watermarks. With 32 text 55 maps + a flag frontis and 70 more text pages all as called for in the edition. This has a bookplate from a well known New England reference library. We did see a 1 inch tear on the edge of one map else pages are all quite good. With gilt edges. Maps are on a thicker stock matte paper that is not toned at all. Nº de ref. del artículo: 4924

Maps are Coloured and are Printed on one side of thick paper. Some Maps are double page. Colour Frontispiece Illustrated with "The Flags of All Nations." The Introduction, with Pages up to 32, precedes the Maps and the Index follows them. In original contemporary Half Leather Binding with 5 Raised Bands to spine, Gilt Title in 2nd Compartment and Gilt Decoration in others. Dark Green "Pebbled" cloth Boardsa with Leather Corners. Gilt tooling along all edges where leather meets cloth. All Page edges Gilt. Cloth missing from rear board. Some edge wear & rubbing.(see photos). Binding fragile and frontispiece loose. a few maps have some marginal tears. Some wear to a few page edges. 18" Tall. Weighs 4.7 Kilos so Shipping outside UK will be extra.
