Brown cloth hard cover with gilt titles on spine and gilt decoration on front board; cover wear confined to corners and spine ends with some very mild discolouration of boards. Clean interior with frontispiece of author and xi, 941 pages. Signed by author on first title page - 'by W Somerset Maugham' and' for Cynthia's Uncle Willi'- provenance the property of the late author and by descent of his family. This new edition (reset), price7/6, was published in 1934 and is in very good condition, and signed/inscribed by the author. N° de ref. del artículo 005585
