Exemplaire sur papier de Hollande.+++++++ Relation retraçant le duel le 10 juillet 1547 au château de Saint-Germain en Laye entre Guy de Chabot Jarnac (1514-1584) et son adversaire François de Vivonne, seigneur de La Châtaigneraie (1520-1547). Contre toute attente Chabot va gagner avec son célèbre Coup de Jarnac où il fendit d'un revers de son épée le jarret du seigneur de Chataigneraie. Ce dernier mortifié par sa défaite, arrachera ses pansements et mourut des suites de ce combat. Ce coup fut trouvé très habile et fournit une expression proverbiale LE COUP DE JARNAC - Bon état intérieur et couverture. Nº de ref. del artículo: 703
