Bound in genuine leather with Satin ribbon page markers and Spine with raised gilt bands. A perfect gift for your loved ones. NO changes have been made to the original text. This is NOT a retyped or an ocr'd reprint. Illustrations, Index, if any, are included in black and white. Each page is checked manually before printing. As this print on demand book is reprinted from a very old book, there could be some missing or flawed pages, but we always try to make the book as complete as possible. Fold-outs, if any, are not part of the book. If the original book was published in multiple volumes then this reprint is of only one volume, not the whole set. Hardcover. Condición: Fair. First British Edition. B&W Plates; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 215 pages; HC in red cloth with decorative pictorial designs in blind and color pictorial label mounted to the upper right corner of the cover board. Title lettering in gilt to spine a little rubbed and dulled. Illustrated with color frontis and 4 other b&w plates on glossy stock; missing one b&w plate. A Boston printing notice appears in small font on the verso of the title page; the British edition bound American sheets. The imprint is marked London and an Autumn 1906 catalog of Gay & Bird titles is appended to the rear of the book. Binding is shaken and several pages are loose mid-book with some furring and short margin tears to a few leaves where they were starting from the front edge. Some gapping and light splitting internally between signatures. Prior ownership neatly penned to front endpage. Several pages of the publisher's catalog at rear have been opened roughly with chipping and short tears to page margins. A reading or restoration copy with decent externals. Quite uncommon. Fair to Good only.
