The boards have edge wear, and the spine has a tear along the front joint, causing the spine to 'flap'; Small loss, approx. 1.5 inches, at the spine's crown, effecting the title. INSCRIBED and signed by the author, with his customary poem to the recipient, and dated Aug., 1930. A nostalgic and comedic look at the Victorian era from the 1920's perspective.

INSCRIBED "Dear Harvey, Leaves may wither and / flowers may die / friends may forget you / but never will I / Your friend and schoolmate.forget me not" AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR with the inscription dated "Minneapolis July 28rd 1930" Typical Joking Frank Wing Inscription.

A tight and nice first edition of this collection of cartoons poking gently fun at rural turn-of-the-century Americans. Fun (and clean!) limerick neatly penned on front flyleaf by original owner: "A bright young attorney named Mack, / In the evening lay flat on his back. / A takin' to look / At a silly old book / That the Fords put in old Santa's pack.".
