Hardcover. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. Where Love Dwells; by William Neubauer; Arcadia House, New York, 1953. From the blurb Mary Reddington was just beginning to gain recognition as a violinist when an accident to her hands destroyed in an instant all her hopes for a shining future, and she was forced to return to her New England home and to start afresh in a new career. The residents of Stuartville welcomed Mary back in various ways. To Ned Gruger, a quiet cabinet maker, her return was the wonderous answer to a dream. To Andy Buckstone, whose factory had prospered during her absence, she was a possible employee, and also much more. To Grandma Hawes, she meant relief from loneliness. The tender romance of a girl with spunk who refused to be vanquished by misfortune, or to compromise with happiness. William Arthur Neubauer (1916-1982) was an American writer with more than 150 novels, written both under his own name as well as under the names William Arthur, Christine Bennett, Norman Bligh, Ralph Carter, Joan Garrison, Jan Hathaway, Rebecca Marsh, Norma Newcomb, and Gordon Semple. Surprisingly, a review of the internet reveals few of his titles for sale. Most are paperbacks and I would think most hard cover books were destined for public libraries. This book, 222 pages measuring 252mm X 228mm is in near-fine condition in a near-fine dust jacket that is now in a protective mylar wrap.
