Original o primera edición Ejemplar firmado
Hardcover. Condición: Near fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very good. First edition. Signed at the top of the yellow front free endpaper by Krutch and dated "Tuscon 1955." Second printing in the year of publication. As the jacket describes it, "A book that explores the rich, intriguing, unexpected variety of life in the Sonoran Desert of the American Southwest." Krutch was primarily a critic until he moved to Arizona and began writing about natural history; he won the John Burroughs Medal for natural history writing in 1954, as well as the National Book Award earlier in 1955 for The Measure of Man. Previous owner's signature at the top of the "Books by" page. An about fine book with a little toning to edges to text block; in a very good jacket with edge wear, some short tears to edges of back panel , and a hint of fading to spine.
