Hardcover. Condición: Poor. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Published by Oxford University Press @ Clarendon Press in 1939, this is the first hardback printing of Bertha Porter and Rosalind moss' TOPOGRAPHICAL BIBLIOGRAPHY OF ANCIENT EGYPTIAN HIEROGLYPHIC TEXTS, RELIEFS, and PAINTINGS: VI Upper Egypt: Chief Temples (excluding Thebes) Abydos, Dendera, Esna, Edfu, Kom, Ombo and Philae. 264 pages, temple illustrations, the book is in poor to fair condition with the spine strip cloth binding detached and included at the back of the book. The book is very tightly bound and it is an ex Queen's College Library book, so it has the usual array of library stampings. Internally the book is pretty good with no obvious blemishes of any sort. A discounted rarity. The book is rather heavy and because of the recent farcical Trans Atlantic price increases an extra £16 postage will need to be added on for delivery to areas outside Europe. All other regions are as quoted.

Mixed printings. Five volumes in seven only, wanting volumes IV, V and VIII. First and last two volumes in publisher's oatmeal cloth with black lettering to the spines, the others in blue cloth with gilt lettering, dust jackets, those of volumes I, part 2 and VII with revised printed title labels to the upper panels and handwritten labels to the spines on matching paper. Black and white illustrations, principally diagrams. Very good. Mostly from the second edition, "revised and augmented by Jaromír Málek.".
