Original cloth binding, 141 pages, frontispiece, 29 illustrations on plates, frontispiece crudely reattached to the book with tape, and also tape repaired, pencil ownership inscription of a child on the tilte, ownership inscription of a Church library in the middle of the book, front endpaper missing, rear endpaper loose, small damage to the spine, binding a bit rubbed, the bookblock itself quite spotless, apparently not much read. The earliest book published by the Sheltons, who worked with their family in Eastern Tibet, at Batang. Quite open book, Flora Shelton must have been a formidable woman.
