The first volume is edited by Louis Leakey covering the years of excavations between 1951-1961; it has chapters by P. M. Butler, M. Greenwood, G. G. Simpson, R. Lavocat, R. F. Ewer, G. Petter, R. L. Hay and M. D. Leakey. All volumes are the first edition except for Volume I which is the 1967 second printing. No ownership marks. Seldom offered as a set. Slight edge to bottoms of some dust jackets, light soiling to the rear panel of volume II only; a very bright and clean set in fine condition in fine dust jackets.
