Hardcover. Condición: Fair. No jacket. Very worn. Boards are heavily rubbed, the titling is almost totally worn away. Paste-down illustration has some nicks. Bumping and heavy wear to edges and corners. The spine has been restored and the title hand-written over the newer cloth, which is also well-worn, particularly at the edges. The rear pastedown endpaper is torn up, as though a bookplate had been attached and then taken out. The pages are stained, wrinkled, and torn. Some of the larger tears have been repaired with tape. The repaired binding is holding the book together, but is not very attractive. Fourth Printing. Size: 16mo - over 5 3/4 in - 6 3/4 in tall. Year: 1929.

Hardcover. Condición: Fair. Estado de la sobrecubierta: No. Lofting, Hugh Ilustrador. First Edition. This is a scarce copy of the first american edition of Hugh Lofting's book entitled "Noisy Nora". Color illustrations. Lofting is best known for his Dr. Doolittle books, however he authored a number of other children's books as well. This book never really made it commerically, so both Stokes and the publisher in England, Jonthan Cape, did not print many copies. Here is one of the few remaining. Small pink hardcover with a pastedown illustration (has a corner missing on the pastedown) of little noisy nora sitting by a fence on the cover (covers have some stains). The book has general signs of age and wear, including fraying at the top of the spine. The interior front hinge has been repaired professionally, the back hinge is weak and frayed. Inside pages have some age tonning, overall good inside. Email us for photos. We ship fast and with insurance. Size: Small.
