VG in VG DJ. Almost all of this unlikely tale is historically accurate based on records at the NJ Historical Society. Threatened attacks on a precious powder mill nearby, pursuit by two merciless enemies along a lonely road at night, hiding under a bench in the old meeting house while two spies discuss the proposed attack of the Hessians, then riding through the storm to headquarters where Washington's cannon barked out a warning to the countryside. Yellow binding with decoration, color DJ shows man painting a tavern sign. DJ edge wear. Illustrated by Color frontis.
