Clean pages and illustrations with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Top textblock edge dyed gilt. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Moderate splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Visible wear marks to boards.

This guide to the history and architecture of the County of Gloucestershire has over 100 black and white illustrations of some of the most spectacular examples of architecture, some of which are no longer in existence. This copy has one or two neat inscriptions of ownership to the f.e.p. There is some light foxing to page edges but this does not effect either the text of the illustrations. The red linen covered boards has gilt titling and decoration to the front board and spine there is some sunning to the front board and spine. A dustwrapper is not present.
