This book covers the US's first covert operations venture against a foreign power- The Flying Tigers who pursued an air war against the Japanese in China, India, and Burma. (CBI Theater) beginning in 1937. Led by Claire Chennault (later General Chennault) the Flying Tigers were under Chinese control as the 1st American Volunteer Group and utilized all volunteer American pilots. After Pearl Harbor they became an American asset but were still working with Chiang Kai-Chek to attack Japanese targets in China. A clean very presentable copy.
