Soft Covers. Condición: VG+. Estado de la sobrecubierta: None. Photos, Art, Maps Ilustrador. 1st. This journal of a pioneer settler and newspaper correspondent in the land wars of the 1860s gives a first hand account of life in NZ at the time. His was a typical experience for a new settler, involving several shifts of occupation and three times driven from his home through the uncertainties of the land wars. Morgan commenced his journal on leaving England in 1852 and the book mainly deals with his writing relating to NZ up to 1871. His journal editor says only half the material it contained was used in this publication. 165 pages including three appendices, index, seven b/w illustrations (art/photos), two maps. Pictorial card covers VG+, name top inside cover inked out (3cm by .5cm), text block otherwise excellent. A scarce book.
