Rilegato. Full editorial black cloth binding with gilt titles on spine; dust jacket illustrated by Jan Pienkowski (based on the famous trompe l'oeil paintings by Richard Chopping reproduced on the jackets of the James Bond books). The volume is in very good condition; there is just some little foxing on the white pages and the half title. The dust jacket is in good condition, with just a very slight wear at the edges of the spine, price clipped (missing low front flap corner). The book is the first, systematic critical analysis of the James Bond character through extensive references to the novels and Ian Fleming's style and writing.
