Endpapers are a soft butter yellow. Flytitle is protected by a vellum leaf. Illustrated throughout with plates both in full colour and black and white. Contains list of illustrations, and a list of books mentioned. Text is black with dark brown headers. As the interior of this book was photographed from the 1904 printing of the first edition, any irregularities or imperfections in the type are the result of the age of source material. While the first edition did not have a dust jacket, the background selected for this facsimile reproduction's dust jacket is a brocaded damask fabric from Italy, 1705-1715. xii, 270 pp. This copy is in beautiful, fine condition.
