Hardcover. Small 4to. Burgundy cloth, gilt. 84pp. Frontispiece, illustrations. Fine. First of this revised edition of a 1928 text, bearing a choice autograph addition: Tipped to an inner flyleaf is a Typed Note Signed from Angle, 1p, 8½" X 11", Springfield, IL, 1944 August 19. Addressed to Ralph G. Newman, founder of Chicago's noted Abraham Lincoln Book Shop. Near fine. On "Illinois State Historical Library" letterhead, which Angle served as State Librarian, he notes: ".
