Shrieve, MD, Ph.D., is the Huntsman Cancer Institute Chair in Cancer Research and chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is a member of the Experimental Therapeutics Program at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and co-director of the Stereotactic Radiosurgery Program at the University. Shrieve has primary clinical research interests in adult and pediatric neuro-oncology, pediatric radiation oncology, and stereotactic radiotherapy. His basic research interests include intrinsic radiosensitivity of human tumors, the mechanisms of intrinsic cellular resistance to radiation and chemotherapy, and combined chemotherapy/radiotherapy. Shrieve serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Board of Radiology and is past-President of the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society. Shrieve is the author or co-author of over 150 articles or book chapters in the medical and scientific literature. He co-edited the book "Human Radiation Injury" in 2010.
