The white cental band has slightly tanned left margin (1 cm wide max); above, the white panel with 'Penguin Books' lettered in black, has a 2 cm x 5 mm pale brown mark. Each front corner has a slight 1 cm diagonal crease; The rear panel (advertising Pevsner) is clean save for a 5 mm blob and a little light foxing; 5mm x 1 cm of the text rubbed away and a mild 2 cm crease across lower corner. About one third of each side of the spine sufficiently rubbed to show white against the green, the white section lightly tanned. A 1 cm vertical tear to base without causing loss or structural problems Internally clean and tight with no page tanning.

Overall, this is a solid, clean, Very Good+ three volume set in a Very Good slipcase, which has a heavy bump to the upper back left corner, a shallow ding to the upper right seam, and slight rubbing to the panels.
