Condición: Good. 1969. First Printing. 570 pages. Pictorial dust jacket over red cloth with gilt lettering. Rough-cut pages. Minor tanning to otherwise clear pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Some subtle looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild scuffing overall. Spine has subtle sunning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Clipped dust jacket with moderate rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Some minor tanning, creasing and scuffing overall.

Written to Ray Roberts of Macmillan Co. to thank him for a beautiful printing job on his book, The History of Polish Literature and requesting that the publisher send copies of the book to two reviewers (one in Switzerland and one in France). Milosz is a Nobel Laureate who passed away in August, 2004. Letter is Near Fine with no folds and a few small chips on one side. Size: 8 1/2" X 11". Signed.
