U.S. Army engineers dropped into Nazi-occupied France to perform a secret mission must keep a bridge open until the Allies show up, but it's a little tougher than expected, since the Luftwaffe just happens to know all about this secret mission, and keeps bombing the bridge, forcing the GIs to keep building it, forcing the Luftwaffe to keep bombing it, forcing the GIs to keep building it, forcing -- well, you get the general drift. Lunacy ensues. According to a Publishers Weekly blurb on the front cover, "Even the sex is great fun." 271 pages. Thin impressions/scratches, a bit cocked/rolled, light general wear. Internally tight and clean. Size: 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Book.

Mass Market Paperback. Condición: Very Good+. Estado de la sobrecubierta: in illustrated wraps. First Edition. Original Softcover, Stated First Dell Printing 1976 (Dell-5437) Dell Publishing 271 pages. Very Good, in illustrated wraps. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to covers. Faint crease to rear cover. Very slight shelf lean and faint spine creasing. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked with NO toning. Dean Koontz is currently one of the most popular writers in the English language today, with over 300 million books in print. Given this fact, it's hard to believe he spent the first 20 years of his writing career in virtual obscurity. Indeed, most of the novels he wrote before 1975, including all of his science fiction work, is out of print and scarce. A very handsome vintage First paperback printing. LOC SSS-41.

Soft cover. Condición: As New. 1st Edition. DEAN KOONTZ - HANGING ON, copyright 1973, published by Dell, First Printing - "First Dell Printing - February, 1976" (no references to subsequent printings on copyright page - there was never a 2nd printing),pb edition. BOOK STILL HAS GLOSSY PAPERSTOCK AD IN MIDDLE OF BOOK. I DON'T THINK I HAVE HAD A COPY OF THIS BOOK THIS NICE FOR SALE IN NEARLY 20 YEARS. THIS BOOK IS EXTREMELY FRAGILE - ONE READING (NOW) WILL CAUSE THE BOOK TO SPLIT IN HALF Overall a N-FINE book of a rare 1970s Dean Koontz first printing book. Paperback. Condición: Very Good. First Edition. First Dell printing - February 1976. Signed by Dean Koontz on plate adhered at title page. Very attractive. Slight shelf wear, unread. Classic cover design of long legs in heels emanating from underneath oversize Army helmet w/golden castle in foreground on white b.g. Koontz' first attempt at straight comedy. M*A*S*H meets Catch-22 in a most riotous, ribald, WW II military madhouse. It all began when Major Kelly's Army engineers were dropped into Nazi-occupied France and ordered to keep a bridge open until the Allies arrived. Simple, except the mission was a secret and knobody knew they were there - nobody except the Luftwaffe, which kept bombing the bridge. which meant the GI's kept rebuilding it. which meant the Luftwaffe kept bombing it. Which meant the tension was doing funny things to Major Kelly's men's mnds. which meant anything could happen - and you can bet your last C-ration it does!! 271 pages. Insured post. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Signed by Author(s). Book.
