Hardcover. Condición: Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fair. 1st Edition. For years Art Rosenbaum and Bob Stevens covered the Giants for the fans of Northern California in the pages of the San Francisco Chronicle. The book begins with the Giants leaving New York to the San Francisco Giants and the first game in April 1958 to the thrilling pennant races of 1958 and 1962. Has chapters on Hall of Famers Willie Mays, Orlando Cepeda and Willie McCovey. And a chapter on Alvin Dark, a deeply religious man who had difficulty with the Black and Latin American players on his team. The end papers are of the Giants Fight Song. Blue boards with dark blue lettering on the front cover and the spine, the book is in very good condition. The Dust Jacket has many small chips and tears (is now in a Mylar protector) and is in fair condition. I have more than 250 baseball team histories and over 200 books written by and about sportswriters in stock. Discounts are available when you purchase multiple items on the same order.
